GETTING STARTED

How do I create a Home Maid Better Account?

When you book your first cleaning, an account will be automatically created for you. We’ll send along an activation email asking you to confirm your email address. To finish setting up your account, simply choose a password, sign in to your account and you’re ready to go.

 

Once you have confirmed your account, you can manage your account by clicking the My Account Login‘ link on our website.

How do I know if you offer house cleaning in my area?

We primarily serve the Bethany, Del City, Edmond, Midwest City, Moore, Mustang, Newcastle, Nichols Hills, Norman, Oklahoma City, The Village and Yukon areas. If you don’t see your specific city or area listed, please give us a call at (405) 754-5100 and we’d be happy to either give you a quote or help direct you further.

What's included in a standard house cleaning?

A standard – or regular – cleaning includes house cleaning that you would do on a weekly basis to keep your home or apartment free from dust, dirt and other debris and maintain cleanliness. That includes cleaning/vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dusting, etc. Check out our Cleaning Services Checklist for a complete list of items and areas we clean.

 

We also offer extra, add-on services like cleaning inside the fridge or oven. You can always request additional cleaning items on your booking form or in the app. Just let us know what you need and we’re happy to help.

How much does it cost for Home Maid Better to clean my house?

We’re recognized for our ‘no surprises’ pricing. We can offer fixed pricing and alloted time engagements or quote those bigger jobs providing an estimated pricing range. You pay only the amount quoted and that doesn’t change unless you request additional work or time. We can provide you with a free quote and customized pricing using a variety of factors, such as the size of your home, how often we clean, and the type of cleaning desired.

 

Some individual companies may be able to offer lower rates because they don’t cover liability insurance or worker’s compensation. We recognize you have a choice when it comes to hiring a house cleaning service and Home Maid Better is proud to provide these benefits to ensure peace of mind while still offering you competitve rates for our professional services.

What do you mean by "arrival window"?

When you schedule housecleaning services with Home Maid Better, we give you an estimated arrival time. We offer two standard arrival times: between 8-9 am or between 11 am-1 pm. We provide these arrival windows just in case our cleaning pros run into traffic, weather, parking issues or cleaning surprises in the home before yours.

 

We do our best to ensure that your cleaning crew is on time and ready to give your home the inidividualized attention you deserve. We promise to do everything possible to let you know in advance if there’s a change in plans.

Do I need to provide your team with my own cleaning equipment or supplies?

No. We do bring our own cleaning supplies and professional cleaning tools. We use the best products on the market that leave your home smelling fresh and sparkling clean. For sanitary purposes, we do ask if you would like us to use your vacuum. If you don’t have one available, don’t worry, we always bring one with us.

 

If you have any preferences or special requests for specific cleaning product, just let us know and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.

Can I request special tasks or extras?

Absolutely! To customize your cleaning with additional services, just let us know what you need on our online booking form before your cleaning. If you need help sooner, you can also give us a call at (405) 754-5100 and we’ll be happy to assist you with your request.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel a cleaning?

We understand that life can be unpredictable and that’s why we work with your schedule to be sure we’re cleaning your home at a time that’s convenient for you. And when you work with Home Maid Better, there are never any long-term contracts or obligations. That means you’re never locked into any specific program or plan.

 

However, if you do have to reschedule or cancel an appointment for any reason, we ask that you let us know at least two business days in advance. There is a $75 fee for late cancellations as we do not over-book our schedule because we believe every client deserves a reliable, high-quality service.

GIFT CARDS & PROMO CODES

I just received a Home Maid Better gift card. How do I use it?

Simply call our office any time Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at (405) 754-5100. We’d be happy to help you apply any gift card balance or promo code, as well as help you personalize and schedule your cleaning service.

How do I find the balance on my Home Maid Better gift card?

You can check your gift card balance at any time, by clicking the ‘Check your gift card balance’ link at the bottom of the Gift Card page of our website, and entering the personalized code.

Can I apply a coupon discount to an existing booking or appointment?

Yes! Give us a call and we would be glad to update your existing booking with any gift card balance. You can reach our team at (405) 754-5100 Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

I received a gift card and Home Maid Better does not cover my area, what should I do?

Not sure if we service your area? Just give us a call and we will work with you or the original purchaser to resolve your specific situation.

Why do you need my credit card information to redeem a gift card?

To protect the safety of our customers and employees, we require a valid debit or credit card to be on file for every home we clean.

 

Also, in some instances, the housecleaning services we provide may exceed the amount on the gift card. Or, on occasion, the homeowner may want to add additional cleaning services or tasks while our team is still in the home, cleaning. Having a credit card on file makes it easy and secure to quickly make these changes online.

MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT

How do I book my first appointment with Home Maid Better?

We’ve made the entire process as quick and easy as possible. Just visit our online Booking Page, choose your service, tell us a bit more about your specific cleaning needs and enter your payment details. You’ll be able to see instant pricing and schedule your first appointment via our Real-Time Calendar.

 

We do ask for a valid debit or credit card to be on file for every home we clean. If you’ve got a gift card or promo coupon code, it will be applied to your quote immediately. Please note that your credit card will not be charged until AFTER the cleaning service has been completed; however, all credit/debit cards undergo pre-authorization the day before to validate the booking.

How do I login to my Home Maid Better account?

If you’ve already have an existing account, simply click the My Account Login link at the top of our website and enter the email address and password you used to set up the account.

 

If you don’t have an account, you can also sign up and create one by following the same link.

What do I do if I forgot my password or need to change it?

We all forget passwords. It happens to the best of us.

 

Simply click on the My Account Login link at the top of our website and click on the Reset Password’ link. Just enter the email you use for your account and we’ll send you instructions to reset your password. If you don’t see it shortly, be sure to check your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folder for an email from Home Maid Better.

How do I change the billing address on my account?

To manage and update your billing address, simply click on the ‘My Account Login’ link at the top of our website and log into your account. Once you’re logged in, you can manage your account by clicking the dropdown next to your name at the top of the page.

 

Simply click on the ‘Manage Addresses’ tab and follow the instructions. Please be sure to hit ‘Save’ before leaving the page. You can also give us a call at (405) 754-7100 and we’d be happy to update the address for you.

How do I update my credit card information?

To manage and update your credit card information, simply click on the ‘My Account Login’ link at the top of our website and log into your account. Once you’re logged in, you can manage your account and see upcoming services scheduled.

 

Simply click on the ‘Billing Info’ tab and follow the instructions. Please note, if you enter and save a new credit/debit card, it will automatically become your default card.

How do I pay for my home cleaning?

Payments are due upon completion of your scheduled service. Home Maid Better accepts electronic payment only. We do keep a credit/debit card on file for every home we clean, so you never have to leave a check or cash. Your credit card will only be charged for the amount quoted unless we have spoke with you and other arrangements where made. Once your card is processed, you will receive a payment receipt via email. Please note that any accounts that go unpaid after five days incur a $35 late payment fee.

How do I know I can trust my cleaning professional?

What if something gets damaged during my house cleaning service?

At Home Maid Better, our cleaning crews treat you and your home with the utmost care and respect. But, we know that sometimes, accidents or mistakes can happen. If something happens to break or get damaged as a result of something we do, we’ll do our best to repair or replace the item.

 

Unlike many independent contractors, we are fully bonded and insured. Please call our office at (405) 754-5100 and let us know what happened so we can work with you to take care of it or file a claim if appropriate. We do reserve the right to photograph or retreive any damaged items (upon replacement or reimbursement).

How do you make sure my billing information stays safe and secure?

Your security and safety are our top priority. That’s why we’ve put three levels of online security into place. Our Booking Page is protected by an extended validation SSL. Our booking form also has its own layer of 256-bit security. Finally, all credit card transactions are processed by Stripe, which has it’s own 256-bit security protocol. Additionally, no credit card numbers are ever stored in our system or database (only a token that allows us to charge the card).

 

Finally, we value your privacy and are committed to keeping your email address confidential. We do not sell, rent or lease our contact data or lists to third parties, and we will not provide your personal information to any third-party individual, government agency, or company at any time unless compelled to do so by law.

Do you always send the same team of housecleaners?

We always strive to match your housekeeping needs with a cleaning crew who will care for your home the way we take care of our own. Whenever you schedule recurring services, we try to send the same team to clean your home if possible. If a member of your regular team is absent, we do our best to find a suitable replacement. Rest assured that every one of our cleaning pros undergoes extensive Home Maid Better training to ensure that the quality of work is thorough and consistent.

Do you have a refund policy?

We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee to make sure you receive the best cleaning experience possible. If we missed the mark and you’re not happy with our service, we will come back to make it right. If you’re not satisfied with the quality of the service, contact our office immediately at (405) 754-5100 and we’ll come back to re-clean within 24 hours at no cost to you.
