Home Cleaning Services Cost: Your Ultimate Pricing Guide

If you’re feeling overwhelmed trying to keep up with cleaning your home and everything else you have going on, we’ve got you covered. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about home cleaning services cost and more.

From the different types of services to add-ons and cost-savers, think of this as your go-to guide to professional cleaning prices. Let’s jump in and see if a home maid cleaning service is right for you and your home.

The Size of Your Home

The size of your home plays a big role in how much your home cleaning will cost. During your initial consultation, your home cleaning professionals will typically ask you how many bedrooms and bathrooms your home has.

The price of cleaning starts with how large your home is and adjusts from there. A 6-bedroom home will take longer to clean than a studio apartment, for example. The number of bathrooms is also factored in.

Understanding the size of your help helps your cleaning crew estimate how long your services will take and how many professionals they need. This will also ensure all the proper supplies are included.

Your Home’s Condition

Life can be messy. Whether you live alone, or you have four kids, the mess of everyday life can seem never-ending. The condition of your home will impact how long your cleaning services take to complete. We’ll ask a few questions before we begin regarding your home’s current condition.

No matter how overwhelming the mess may seem, don’t stress. Remember that we’re professionals and we’ve seen it all. To keep costs down and to help streamline your cleaning, there are a few things you can do to prep if you’re able.

Start by picking up clothes off the color and surfaces. There’s no need to clean your home before we clean but picking up can help ensure our crew can get to work on the deeper cleaning. If you have anything specific you don’t want to be cleaned or touched, feel free to move it ahead of time or let us know.

When you’re estimating a price, take stock of your home’s state. If there is a lot of deep cleaning needed or additional add-ons, this will take time. Add-ons often include carpet cleaning, cleaning inside appliances, and laundry.

Type of Cleaning

The type of cleaning you’re requesting will also affect the price. A small apartment cleaning is priced differently than a move-out cleaning on a large single-family home, for example.

A move-in or move-out cleaning requires more time to clean inside cabinets, appliances, windows, and empty spaces. These cleans are given a longer time slot to make sure the job is done right. We’re happy to tackle these cleans so you can move on to your new home.

A deep clean will also cost more than a basic clean. Home deep cleaning services are great for seasonal cleans or when you want to do those hard-to-reach spaces and areas you don’t clean regularly. Don’t waste your entire weekend on a deep clean.

A disinfecting clean will help keep your family and guests safe and healthy. With everything going on in the world, safety against COVID-19 and other viruses is our top priority.

Cleaning Frequency

It may seem backward to think cleaning your home regularly will save you money. The more you clean your home, however, the more streamlined the process becomes. Each time we clean your home, we don’t have to start from scratch.

Appliances, inside windows, baseboards, and ceiling fans are all hard to reach and tough places to clean. The more frequently they are cleaned, the better their condition.

Regular cleanings also receive a discount. One-off or individual cleanings for more in-depth services will typically take longer with a larger crew of professionals.

When you hire us for reoccurring services, you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing we’re taking care of everything. Let us take cleaning off your plate so you can enjoy your weekends and free time.

Supplies

We’ll always bring our own cleaning supplies and equipment. Our professional-grade products ensure a deep clean. Depending on the cleaning you choose, there may be additional products needed.

If you’d like carpet cleaning, for example, or additional disinfecting services, we’ll make sure to have the equipment and products on hand.

Additional Services

One of the biggest factors that will determine the price of your cleaning services are the add-ons. Add-on services are great for those times you need something additional cleaned. Whether you want these cleaned weekly or just as needed, let us know whatever you’re looking for.

Add-ons include cleaning inside cabinets, completing your laundry, changing bed linens, cleaning inside your refrigerator, and more. We can take care of any hard-to-reach place such as your baseboards, inside your windows, fans, light fixtures, and more.

If you have any specific requests such as folding laundry or cleaning inside a curio or china cabinet, for example, we’d be happy to help. Anything we can do to make your life easier we’re here to help.

The More We Clean, the More You Save

When you book us for regular cleaning, there are some more hidden cost benefits. Your furniture, appliances, and flooring will all benefit from regular professional cleaning. It’s important to factor the lifespan of your belongings into the cost of cleaning.

Appliances that are left uncleaned won’t run as well. Whether it’s a dirty oven or grime on your tile, get more for your money with professional cleaning. Think of the money you’re spending on cleaning as an investment in your home.

Instead of needing to replace flooring, tile, or appliances, you’ll save with professional cleaning. Your vents and duct system will thank you as well. Dust, pet dander, and dirt get into your HVAC system. Regular cleaning will help prevent build-up and keep your home running smoothly.

Home Cleaning Services Cost 101

The cost of a clean home is priceless. When you factor in peace of mind and your family’s health, any home cleaning services cost is money well spent. Get your weekends back and spend more time doing what you love while living in a cleaner, healthier home.

Checklists Move Out Cleaning Service

Moving in or Moving Out: Your Ultimate House Cleaning Checklist

Moving to a new home can be a stressful event. However, it can also be an extraordinary experience. There are countless reasons why you should be excited for this next chapter of your life.

But before you can get settled in your new home, there’s something you need to take care of – the cleaning. Whether you’re moving in or moving out, it’s essential to follow a thorough house cleaning checklist.

If you’re moving out of a home, you owe it to the next owners to pick up after yourself and leave the place immaculately cleaned. This is especially important if you’re leaving an apartment and want your deposit back.

If you’re moving into a new home, it’s never a bad idea to give it a deep cleaning to ensure there’s nothing left over from the previous owners or renters. We can help. Keep reading for an in-depth guide on deep cleaning a house.

1. Remove Clutter, Trash, and Debris

Hopefully, when you move into a new home, there won’t be anything left inside it. However, this won’t always be the case.

You might have to spend time disposing of the previous owner’s left-behind junk, garbage, or possessions. If you’re deep cleaning a house you’re leaving, wait until you’ve completely moved out to make your life easier.

The fewer items you have to work around while cleaning, the faster and easier the job will be. This is one of the most basic house cleaning tips.

2. Wipe Down All Verticle and Horizontal Surfaces

Next, go room by room with your house cleaning supplies, wiping down every surface of the home. This includes walls, ceilings, shelves, doorknobs, dressers, ceiling fans, window sills, doorframes, and more. Skip the kitchen and bathrooms for now, as these rooms require special attention.

We recommend using a liquid dust remover or all-purpose cleaner to ensure maximum cleanliness. Dry dusting is effective for touch-ups, but will also push dust around, rather than remove it.

3. Clean and Sanitize the Bathrooms

Now it’s time to focus our house cleaning checklist on the bathrooms. Remember, these rooms are high-traffic areas that are vulnerable to more bacteria and germs. As such, sanitizing the surfaces in these rooms is essential.

In the bathroom, use powerful house cleaning supplies (like disinfectants) to clean the sink, shower, tub, and toilet (in that order). If you’re using the same rag for the entire bathroom, don’t clean the toilet first, for obvious reasons. Put in the necessary elbow grease to get rid of all watermarks, soap scum, stains, and odors.

Lastly, make sure there is no mold forming on the walls or ceiling. This is quite common for frequently used bathrooms and bathrooms with poor ventilation.

4. Clean and Sanitize the Kitchen

The kitchen might be the most difficult and time-consuming room to adequately clean. However, this also depends on how much upkeep you’ve done (if you’re leaving the home). If you’re moving into a new home, you won’t have any control over how clean the previous owners left the kitchen.

However, because this is where you will be preparing food, eating, and drinking, you must take extra precautions to ensure its cleanliness and sanitation. Start by using a disinfectant to wipe down all of the counters and other surface areas.

Then, deep clean each appliance one by one. This includes the stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator.

You might need a powerful degreaser for the stove, oven, and microwave. However, you can also use vinegar and baking soda. Grease and other foods that are baked onto surfaces are particularly difficult to remove.

5. Deep Clean the Floors

Now that most of the “heavy-lifting” is done, it’s time to focus on the floors. However, this part of our house cleaning checklist is no less important.

Carpets

Carpeted floors are especially vulnerable to excess dirt, dust, hair, pet dander, allergens, dust mites, stains, and odors. We recommend vacuuming the carpet, making multiple passes over each area.

For maximum effectiveness, vacuum in a different direction each time you go over an area again. For example, start with horizontal lines and go over the carpet again with verticle lines.

Then, use a shampooer to thoroughly clean the carpet, remove stains, and get rid of odors. For tough carpets, it might be a good idea to hire a professional house cleaning service who specializes in carpet cleaning.

Hard-Surface Floors

For hard-surface floors, start by sweeping up dirt, debris, etc. If you have a vacuum suitable for hard floors, it might make your job a little easier.

Then, steam mop the floors to remove stains while simultaneously disinfecting the area. Flooring like linoleum, laminate, and tile shouldn’t need any more work. However, if the home has traditional hardwood flooring, you might consider putting on a coat of polish or wax for quick revitalization.

Furniture, Curtains, and Other Hard-to-Reach Areas

Last on our house cleaning checklist is all of the tough-to-reach and inconvenient chores. First, if there are still furniture and curtains in the home, you’ll need to make sure those are cleaned.

We recommend taking the wand of the vacuum to curtains to remove dust, hair, pet dander, cobwebs, etc. This is also a good time to clean the window blinds and take a glass cleaner to the windows.

Next, use your vacuum extensions to clean the couches, being sure to get underneath the cushions. We also recommend using an upholstery cleaner for maximum cleanliness.

Finally, walk through the house to verify everything is cleaned to perfection. Is there anything you missed? Is there anything you could have cleaned better?
